Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

To submit an article as an author, you must first be a registered user and log in to your account. The manuscript must be submitted according to the standards and in the format of the scientific journal template “JAPAMAS” as follows:

  1. Title: The title of the publication manuscript should be a maximum of 14 words in Indonesian (font size: 18, Centered, Bold, Cambria 18), and the article title in English should be in font size 12.
  2. Author Name and Affiliation: Author names must be accompanied by their affiliation and corresponding email, without including academic degrees or titles.
  3. Abstract: The abstract should be written in italics in both Indonesian and English, with a maximum of 250 words. It must summarize the entire content of the paper, including the problem statement, research objectives, methodology, results and discussion, and conclusions.
  4. Keywords: a maximum of 5 key terms relevant to the paper. The paper can be written in English or Indonesian. The main text format should be in a single column, justified alignment on A4 (quarto) paper. Margins should be 3 cm on the left, right, top, and bottom. The text should be in Cambria 12, with 1.0 line spacing, and a minimum of 8 pages and a maximum of 20 pages.
  5. Introduction: This section includes the background, objective conditions of the community being served, issues and focus of the service, reasons for selecting the community, and the purpose of the community service supported by qualitative and/or quantitative data, along with a relevant literature review. Citations from the reference list should be indicated with [1] based on the numbering in the bibliography. Foreign terms should be italicized.
  6. Research Methodology: This section should describe the chronology of the service activities, including the preparation of materials, the community involved, the location, the involvement of participants in planning and organizing the community, the research methods or strategies used to achieve the desired goals, and the stages of the service activities (in the form of flowcharts, diagrams, etc.). Methods of testing and data collection should also be included. Theoretical foundations may also be presented. Tables and figures must be centered.
  7. Results and Discussion: This section presents the results of the community service and discusses them comprehensively. Results can be presented in the form of images, graphs, tables, and other visual aids to enhance reader understanding and should be referenced in the manuscript. If the discussion is too long, subheadings may be used.
  8. Conclusion: This section should state that the expectations mentioned in the "Introduction" have been met as shown in the "Results and Discussion", indicating alignment. It may also include prospects for further development of the community service outcomes as potential future studies.
  9. References: Citations and reference lists must include more than 10 sources, preferably from the past 3 years and from reputable journals. At least 80% of the references must be journal articles. The reference list must be written in IEEE Style.
