Rancang Bangun Sistem Informasi Manajemen Bengkel Menggunakan Metode Rapid Application Development

Abstract

Based on the results of interviews and observations, operational management at Alesha Motor Speed Workshop is still conducted manually, making it inefficient and prone to data errors. This study aims to design and develop a web-based workshop management information system to improve operational effectiveness and service quality. The method used is Rapid Application Development (RAD), which consists of the following stages: requirement planning, RAD design workshop, and implementation. Data collection was conducted through observation and interviews; the system was then designed using UML and implemented using the Laravel framework. System testing was performed using Black Box Testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT). The results of the Black Box Testing indicated that all system features functioned in accordance with the specified requirements. Meanwhile, the UAT results yielded a score of 89.7%, indicating that the system falls into the “very good” category and is acceptable to users. The developed system is capable of managing data in an integrated manner, supporting service processes and real-time reporting. Thus, this system can improve operational efficiency and the quality of workshop services.
